Many of our summer guests choose Arnbjerg as a base for a week of exploring West Jutland’s lighthouses.
Casper Rosendahl changes the summer menu weekly based on what is fresh and local: West Jutland prawns from the Wadden Sea, fish from the coast, herbs from our own garden, and summer greens from local market gardens. Restaurant GRO has seating on the beautiful garden terrace in summer — perfect for long, light evenings.
Within a 30-minute drive of Arnbjerg you’ll find: Tirpitz (the Bjarke Ingels-designed bunker museum), FLUGT Refugee Museum (in the old Oksbøl camp), the Otto Frello Museum (local surrealist), the Wadden Sea Centre (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Henne Strand and Blåvand Beach. Families with children can visit Legoland in Billund (40 mins) or WOW Park in Karup. We’d be happy to have a personalised itinerary ready for you when you check in.
We have a special focus on families during the summer holidays — family rooms, children’s menus, free breakfast for children under 4, and discounted rates on 3-night stays in July and August. Send us an enquiry with the number of adults and children, and we’ll put together a suitable offer.
In weeks 28 and 29, Restaurant GRO will be closed for the summer so that the whole team can take a holiday. The hotel remains open during this period, and we’d like to point you towards the many lovely restaurants in Varde town — we’re happy to provide recommendations.
